Thank you for choosing to book with Savannah House Bed & Breakfast! We look forward to welcoming you to our family home. By making this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below. These Terms and Conditions (hereafter Terms) describe the standards and policies at Savannah House Bed & Breakfast (hereafter SHBB). By making a reservation with SHBB, the Guest (hereafter Guest or Guests) hereby agrees to abide by all Terms. For questions or clarifications, please contact the owner, innkeeper/ manager (hereafter Innkeeper/Manager or SHBB). Within this document, the term “refund” refers to an amount credited to the Guest equal to the cost of the complete stay, unless otherwise specially noted.

 

I.                   SERVICES & AMENITIES

 

While SHBB makes every attempt to offer all amenities listed below, we cannot guarantee these services.

 

A.    TELEVISION: In order to promote a peaceful and restful environment for our Guests, SHBB asks that you keep your TV to a minimum volume and shut off when not in room. Guests may use their personal computers for this purpose provided the volume does not work disturb other guests. We do not provide video or DVD viewing in rooms. We do however provide a 55” TV and a DVD player in the main living quarters.

  

II.                 BREAKFAST

Breakfast is served at 8:30. A country style breakfast will be served please inform us of any health concerns before arrival.

 

III.               CHECK-IN TIME

Your accommodation will be available to you from 3:00pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing your room or rooms. However, you may drop off your bags, pay for your stay and collect your room keys at an earlier time by prior arrangement.

It is much appreciated if you will notify us of your estimated time of arrival (a telephone call on the day before or morning of arrival is fine).

Late arrival procedure

Please ensure you contact us to let us know if you will be arriving later than 10pm, and inform us of your new estimated time of arrival. We do not normally accept guests after 12am.

 

IV.              CHECK-IN PROCEDURE

 

A.    Guest will complete a copy of our Conditions by signing and dating.

B.     Guest will need to present cash, credit card or debit card that was used to make the reservation. We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS AND DISCOVER.

C.     Guest may be required to present government issued photo identification.

D.    Guest do not have a deposit but payment in full is required on arrival. All bookings by email are confirmed by email.

 

V.                CHECK-OUT TIME

No later than 11am. We respectfully remind guests that Savannah House Bed & Breakfast offers bed and breakfast and is NOT a hotel, therefore: Please vacate your room by 11am, unless otherwise arranged.

A $30 per hour or part thereof/per booking will be charged for check-outs after 11am to 1pm same day and a full day charge thereafter unless prior arrangement has been made.

                                                                                                                                         

VI.              CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE

 

A.    Leave guest room key on guest room dresser top or bed side table.

B.     Close room door upon final exit.

C.     Guest have full responsibility of these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost or missing keys will be charged $10.00 per set.

 

 

VII.           RATES

 

Room rates are based upon double occupancy and full breakfast. Each additional person in room will be assessed an additional charge. Rates are subject to change without prior notice. Rates do not include applicable state and local taxes. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.

 

VIII.         RESERVATIONS

 

A.    Confirmed reservations require the following:

1.     An authorized credit/debit card number.

2.     Evidence of acceptance of Conditions.

B.     A two (2) night or longer minimum stay may be required for weekends, i.e., Friday and Saturday, or special events.

C.     Guests are responsible for payment of entire reservation regardless of arrival or departure times.

D.    Beginning at 0000 hours on first day of reservation, Guests are financially responsible for entire reservation, regardless if Guest terminates stay early for any reason.

E.     Manager reserves the right to cancel any reservation, at any time, with full refund of any money paid by Guests.

F.      You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you when you register on arrival. Occasionally we will need to run errands. Please take your keys with you. If we have to leave, the main door will be locked.

 

IX.              PAYMENT

 

Payment should be made on arrival either cash, credit or debit card. We do not accept some credit/debit cards so please ask if your card is acceptable. All credit card transactions are secure and no data collected is offered to third parties for any reason. All transactions comply to the relevant legal requirements at the time of the transaction.

 

X.                 CANCELLATION POLICY

 

By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and you agree to our terms and conditions.

 

Should your travel arrangements change you should inform us as soon as practicable to allow us to reallocate the room(s).

Notice of cancellation of booking: providing we have at least 24 hour notice of cancellation no payments will be due. However if you fail to notify us after this period payment in full will become due.

 

If you need to cancel the booking due to adverse weather conditions or exceptional family circumstances we are happy to transfer your booking to another date if at all possible should this be acceptable. Guest failing to arrive, without notification, may be responsible to a charge equivalent to the total reservation price.

1.     For stays of one (1) or two (2) nights, the Guest will be responsible for a fee of one (1) night’s rate per room.

2.     For stays three (3) nights or longer, the Guest will be responsible for a fee of one-third (1/3) the total reservation.

3.     No refunds for early departures.

4.     For reservations not cancelled and not honored, Guest will be responsible for the entire reservation.

 

We take all Bookings in good faith, as we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non-arrival, guests are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and that any booking made with Savannah House Bed & Breakfast for wither accommodation or goods, services, meals or drinks that are pre booked (verbal or written) forms a legally binding contract. In addition, we may take legal action, through the Courts, to recover any outstanding debts.

 

Cancellation by Us

 

We would only cancel your stay if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to find you alternative accommodation, if we were unable to find suitable accommodation our liability would not extend beyond this point. Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full.

 

XI.              ACCEPTANCE OF CHILDREN

We welcome children of all ages 5yrs & under stay free. We can accommodate for your babies and by prior arrangement and free of charge, highchair and a pack n play can be provided. SHBB does not offer baby-sitting or child-care services. For Guest bringing a child to SHBB, the child is to remain under the Guests’ full and complete control and supervision at all times. The Guest accepts full and complete responsibility for their child’s behavior and will not hold SHBB liable in any way and will indemnify and hold SHBB harmless.

 

PETS

 

Not Allowed. Service animals acceptable.

 

CHANGE OF ROOM

 

If a booking is taken out for a specific room and the room reserved is required to meet a specific guest needs or rendered unusable via circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternative room of similar quality.

 

LIABILITY

 

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.

 

LOST PROPERTY

 

We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a MINIMUM charge of $5.00 to cover postage and packaging.

 

MISSING ITEMS

 

We reserve the right to charge for missing items.

 

DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES

 

Please take care when staying in our home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. We ask is that you do report any incidents when they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may charge you for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.

 

XII.            RESTRICTIONS

A.    Alcohol: Alcohol is not provided by SHBB. Responsible consumption of alcohol is allowed. For Guests abusing this privilege (as determined by SHBB), Guests will be asked to leave immediately without refund.

B.      Combustibles: The burning of any type of combustible is not allowed in the guest room(s), the home or on the premises. This includes, but is not limited to, candles and incense.

C.     Cooking: Cooking is not allowed in the guest rooms, except for apartment room.

D.    Coolers & Ice Chests: Prohibited in guest rooms.

E.     Kitchen: For the health and safety of our guests, kitchen facilities are for staff use only.

G.    Quiet Time: Quiet time is between 11pm and 6am.

H.    Rooms: Eating take away meals in rooms is not allowed as they can leave after smells and can cause staining if the food comes into contact with bedding or carpets etc. We accept that sandwiches and drinks can be consumed in the rooms but care should be taken to avoid spillage etc. Guests may use the dining room to eat their carry in meals. Guests are not expected to stay in the room all day.

I.       Signage: Guests are to observe all signage as posted. Do not enter areas signed “Private,” “Private Entrance”, “Do Not Enter”, or “Private Quarters”.

J.       Smoking: Is prohibited inside of the home. Smoking is allowed only in the garden or patio area. Please dispose of your cigarettes in proper waste facility. If a Guest smokes in a Guest room, they will be asked to leave immediately without a refund, AND be responsible for a (2) night room fee (for loss of room use while the room is being cleaned), PLUS a MINIMUM $200 cleaning fee.

 

XIII.         ACCOUNTABILITY

 

A.    Innkeeper/Manager reserves the right to terminate the balance of any guest’s stay without refund for any behavior that is in violation of these Conditions, or that disrupts the operation of SHBB. Guests asked to leave will be charged for entire reservation. Other fees may be assessed related to missing or damaged property, cleaning fees, loss of room use fees as appropriate and determined by SHBB.

B.     The security features in place at SHBB are meant to deter casual interlopers and are meant to ensure Guest safety and provide Guest privacy. Guest will not hold SHBB liable for any damaged or missing Guest property or valuables, or for Guests’ safety.

C.     It is the Guest’s responsibility to inform the Innkeeper/Manager of any special health issues or concerns they have that the Innkeeper/Manager would need to be made aware of to insure the health and safety of the Guests’ stay.

 

 

PRIVACY POLICY

Any data collected during the course of this booking will be confidential and stored appropriately. We will not share your details with any third party.
